Sherret Motorsports is the family team of Ken and Dave Sherret that run short course
races in the Ontario Off Road Racing Association (OORA) .The team goes back to the 70's when Ken was racing motocross and
his dad Dave was winning Canadian Championships in off road racing within the CORRA organization . The Canadian Off Road
Racing Assoc. was the original series which is now the OORA . There was a hiatus from the mid 80's to 2003 when
Ken returned to racing with Dave helping out in the pits . It took a few years to get the program up to speed , but it culminated
with a championship in class 10 ,the premier buggy class in 2007 . The Class 10 buggy is an unlimited design class with a
limit on engine displacement of 1650cc . In the CORR series and the WSORR these cars run in the Super
Buggy class and are deemed Pro in CORR and are commonly referred to as the Formula One vehicles of off road .
Based out of St.Thomas Ontario , Ken does all the work on the car, updating and fine tuning it , with price
being the only limit on what can be done . A high end buggy can cost as much as $80,000 , but we run on a much smaller budget
. Without major help from a sponsor there is only so much that can be afforded , but in the series we run , most of the teams
are on an relatively equal level which makes for great racing . Sorry to say that Dad passed away June 2009 . He will always
be the driving force behind this team .
